Float Building is a big part of Port Huron High’s Homecoming. Each grade competes to build a float. The junior’s theme for their float is Halloween. With Mrs.Tatti taking on the responsibility of being the junior class adviser because of how much she loves the grade level due to the fact that she had many of them in their 8th grade year as an ELA teacher, there is a strong belief that they could win this year’s competition. Tatti thinks having class pride, teamwork, and fun is the best way to complete their float. Although she has set her goals for her class, she mainly tries to stand back, observe, and help them work together. She claims that the junior’s float is different from the other grades for one reason only, theirs was “built with love.”
Mrs.Tatti explains that she doesn't have to motivate them since there already are self motivated by the will to defeat the other grades. They plan to have people shout “That's the best float i've ever seen’ when there float is showed in the homecoming parade. They know they must work very hard to beat the other classes and they must have the willpower to do it.
