The recently loved video game for Android and IOS devices that came out July 6th 2016 by Niantic has recently seen falls from its players. This easy to play game uses the technology of GPS tracking to follow a trainer around the area that the player walks.
The decline in use of Pokémon go might be due to the fact that there's no real objective to beat besides “catching em’ all” (which is over 140 types) which is very unrealistic due to each region can holding so many types of Pokémon due to its geographical location, and another factor; time of day plays a role in catching the creatures. A recent interview of Marissa ‘18 at PHHS gives an inside look on what her views are about the recent fad in mobile gaming apps. Asked on what she thought of the game she stated “It was fun at first but then it got boring after about two weeks. Asked if she thinks the game is dead she said “yeah, probably because it has nothing exciting to do”. After being asked why she thinks it has died out she replied “ Probably because people are too lazy to walk around to beat a game with no reward”. So to put it blighty Pokèmon Go will probably never arise again from the trash bin of lost games because of its gameplay and style of play.
